Eastern Suburbs Horticulture is a well-established garden maintenance company specialising in the care and maintenance of high-end residential properties throughout Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong horticultural knowledge and enjoys maintaining beautiful gardens to a consistently high standard.

You will be responsible for managing your daily garden maintenance schedule, carrying out hands-on horticultural work and supervising an assistant gardener who will work alongside you each day.

What We Are Looking For

- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture and/or landscaping.
- Horticultural qualifications or relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
- A current and valid driver's licence (essential).
- Strong horticultural knowledge and an eye for detail.
- Ability to lead, supervise and motivate an assistant gardener.
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and consistently delivers quality results.
- Valuable communication skills and a professional approach to clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out all aspects of garden maintenance, including planting, pruning, mulching, fertilising, mowing, edging, hedging and weeding.
- Perform turf care and lawn maintenance.




- Safely and responsibly apply herbicides and insecticides.
- Maintain garden beds, trees, pathways and landscaped areas to a high standard.
- Supervise and coordinate an assistant gardener working alongside you.
- Operate and maintain machinery including ride-on mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers and other power tools.
- Manage daily workloads and ensure jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Build positive relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional garden improvements and services.
