This is one of Australia's most successful privately owned groups – a large, vertically integrated, multi-site business with national operations, offshore interests and a diversified investment portfolio. Built over several decades through sustained capital investment and disciplined acquisition, the group has reached a scale and complexity that now calls for its first Group CFO.

This is a rare, newly created mandate. Based in the group's boutique Sydney corporate office and reporting directly to the owners, you will design and establish the corporate office from a blank page – structure, governance, policies, systems and a small, high-calibre team. The operating businesses retain their own finance functions; your remit sits above them, owning group consolidation and reporting, tax, insurance and risk, internal audit and offshore entities.





You will partner closely with the in-house treasury and M&A; teams, oversee the owners' family office with absolute discretion and become their trusted, go-to adviser on all financial matters.

You will bring a robust Group CFO track record within large, complex businesses – relevant sectors could include manufacturing, industrial or distribution.

Experience within large private groups and/or PE-owned environments is essential, and experience setting up or significantly building a corporate office is highly regarded. Technically rigorous across consolidation, tax and governance, you will be equally comfortable 'helicoptering up' to advise at owner level and rolling up your sleeves. A hands-on, low-ego style, absolute integrity and a long-term builder mindset are essential.
