Costa is seeking expressions of interest from jobseekers for up to 750 casual seasonal Citrus Harvest, Farm and Packhouse roles in the Renmark, SA and broader Riverland region, to support our 2027 citrus season.

Our peak intake period is generally from March to June, with seasonal roles usually available for 6 to 9 months. A further intake is generally available around July/August, running through the summer period until approximately March/April, depending on crop timing, weather, market demand and operational requirements.

As a large citrus operation, some casual roles may also be available year-round, commencing at different times during the season depending on business needs.

Available roles may include citrus picking, thinning, packing, crop care, general farm labouring, quality control, cleaning, housekeeping, stacking cartons, container loading, receivals, despatch, basic harvest recording, production reporting, farm and harvest administration and other general farming, harvest, packhouse or administration duties as directed by a supervisor or leading hand.

Farm and harvest roles are physically demanding and may involve standing or walking for extended periods, repetitive movement, frequent ladder climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, carrying and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Workers may be required to lift or carry items up to approximately 20kg.

Packhouse roles may include stacking cartons on the box-line, pre-packs, auto-packers, floor general duties, container loading, computer pack, receivals, despatch, quality control, reporting, cleaning and other packing duties as required.

Cleaning roles may include cleaning offices, packhouse areas, accommodation facilities and other work areas.

Administration roles may include a variety of manual and computer-based clerical duties, including document processing, reconciliations, reception and general office support.

Some higher-level roles may also be available depending on business needs, including tractor, truck and forklift operator roles, quality control roles, team leader roles, assistant supervisor roles and supervisor roles. Applicants must hold any licence or permit legally required for the equipment being operated.

Hours of work

Hours and work locations may vary depending on crop timing, weather, market demand, packhouse requirements and operational needs. Roles may involve early starts, late finishes, weekdays, weekends and public holidays, and may include afternoon or evening shift work during peak packhouse periods.

Administration roles are generally worked on weekdays, although this may vary depending on operational requirements.
