Head of Equities | Australian Superannuation Fund | Melbourne

APAC Executive Partners has been exclusively engaged by an Australian superannuation fund to appoint a Head of Equities.

Working closely with the CIO, you will lead the Fund’s listed equity strategies across Australian, global and emerging market equities.

The role

- Design, manage and review the listed equity asset classes and advise the CIO, Investment Committee and Board
- Select, monitor and evaluate external equity managers, including periodic offshore due diligence
- Develop strategies for direct listed equity investing where it adds value over external management
- Contribute to asset allocation and investment governance across the broader investment team
- Support the CIO on listed equity accountabilities under FAR




- Mentor and develop the team working on equity investments

About you

- Significant institutional investment experience, ideally assessing listed equity managers
- A track record of presenting investment recommendations to investment committees or boards
- Strong analytical skills, transparent communication and the confidence to argue for investment ideas
- People management experience
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or economics; CFA or postgraduate study desirable
