Melbourne

Location: Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

Type: On-site Internship

Duration: 4–6 months

Compensation: Unpaid internship, with potential opportunities for a future full-time position The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Intern to support our commercial and partnership activities across our portfolio.

You will work directly with our leadership on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and structuring deals that matter. This is not a sales internship — it is strategy, execution, and real commercial work.

We develop, fund, and operate companies internationally — most notably across Recent York, London, and Tokyo. Business development is how we sustain and grow that portfolio. As an intern, you will see how deals are sourced, how partnerships are formed, and how commercial decisions get made.

What You Will Be Working On

Your responsibilities may include

- Researching new markets — identifying trends, competitors, and potential partners
- Analyzing business opportunities and building cases for current projects or investments
- Supporting partnership development — outreach, coordination, and relationship management
- Working on investor materials, pitch decks, and commercial proposals
- Running financial models and market-sizing exercises
- Tracking deal pipelines and supporting commercial negotiations

Your exact focus will depend on your skills and the projects active during your internship. The Companies You May Support

Across our group, we have companies working on:

Zero-X — Developing thermochemical conversion and distributed energy systems.

Zero-X has more than 200 installations operating across 11 countries.

SERAPH — Advancing decentralized bioproduction, combining AI, robotics, and synthetic biology.

Gemino AI — Building AI for industrial and autonomous control systems, including the OptiVX platform and Project Maya wearable AI system.

Your work may span any of these — and that variety is part of the role.

What We're Looking For

You may be a good fit if you:

- Are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with strong analytical coursework
- Have relevant internship or work experience — ideally in consulting, banking, venture capital, startups, or corporate strategy
- Are comfortable with financial analysis, market research, and building clear presentations
- Write well and communicate effectively
- Can join us fully on-site in Bali for approximately 4–6 months

This internship can also be completed as part of a university internship requirement.

Internship Setup

- 4–6 months based in Canggu, Bali
- Fully on-site position
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break
- Approximately 25 working hours per week
- Daily lunch provided
- On-campus accommodation available at competitive rates
- Solid performers may be considered for future full-time opportunities across the group

Important Information

This is an unpaid internship.

You must be available to work from our Bali campus for the duration of the placement.

This position is not available remotely or in a hybrid format.
