Hotel Manager – Royal Mail Hotel

Location: Meekatharra, Western Australia

About the Role The Royal Mail Hotel is seeking a reliable, hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our hotel in Meekatharra, WA.

This role combines management, administration and practical hospitality duties. You will manage accommodation bookings and room allocations, handle daily cash and financial records, supervise staff, and work behind the bar and assist with meal service as required.

- Salary: AUD 75,000–90,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Manage daily hotel operations, including accommodation bookings, guest services and room readiness.
- Plan room allocations, monitor occupancy and manage online booking platforms.
- Handle basic office administration, payments and booking records.
- Work behind the bar, serve customers and assist with meal service as required.
- Train, roster, supervise and support staff.
- Monitor revenue, control costs, manage stock and assist with budgeting.
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
- Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance and general property upkeep.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing,



RSA, food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Report to the owners on daily operations, staffing and business performance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience in hotel, motel, pub or hospitality management for at least one years or above
- Experience in bar service, staff supervision and daily hotel operations.
- Current RSA and WA Approved Manager Card.
- TAB Compliance Certificate or willing to obtain one.
- Basic computer and administration skills, including bookings and room planning.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, honest and comfortable handling cash and financial records.
- Able to work independently and take a practical, hands-on approach to the business.
