Farmgate Backpackers provides cabin and dormitory style accommodation for a seasonal workforce for the Bundaberg region’s horticultural sector. In order to deliver this service, Farmgate employs casual staff who demonstrate commitment to high quality work.

Position Duties

We are seeking 6 reliable and physically fit workers in the Bundaberg/Childers region to undertake accommodation cleaning duties, including:

- Daily facilities cleaning.
- Rubbish removal.
- Laundry duties.
- Linen changing duties.

Employment Conditions

- Seasonal work available for up to 9 months.
- Typical working hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
- Standard shifts are generally 7.6 hours per day.
- All necessary training will be provided.

Remuneration

- Level 1: $33.05 per hour.
- Level 2: $33.85 per hour after 3 months experience.
- Superannuation paid at the statutory rate.
- Pay and conditions are in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General)



Award 2020, including applicable penalty rates.

Requirements

- Solid work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- High level of physical fitness.
- Commitment to a 9 month contract.
- Reliable transport to and from work.
