Audio Visual Project Manager | 3-Month Contract

Daily Rates $600 to $700 plus super

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial AV integration projects within a complex enterprise environment.

This role will suit a hands-on Project Manager with strong technical knowledge across AV, video conferencing, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco, Crestron, Extron and Q-SYS , combined with proven experience managing vendors, budgets, risks, commissioning and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage AV integration projects from planning and design review through installation, commissioning and handover.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and delivery milestones.
- Review and interpret AV solution designs, schematics and Scope of Work documentation .
- Coordinate AV integrators, vendors, technical teams and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee installation, system testing, calibration and commissioning activities.
- Ensure AV solutions meet quality standards, industry best practices and Council requirements.
- Proactively identify project risks and issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, as-built drawings and project close-out packages .
- Coordinate final system training and ensure a smooth transition to the ICT Operations Team.
- Maintain strong communication with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For




- 5+ years' direct experience managing commercial audio-visual integration projects.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Video Conferencing: Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco
- Unified Communications & Collaboration solutions
- Control Systems: Crestron, Extron and Q-SYS
- Audio DSPs, microphones and loudspeakers
- Display technologies including LED, LCD and projection
- AV networking fundamentals including VLANs and QoS
- Proven experience managing project schedules, teams, budgets, risks and vendors.
- Strong capability reviewing technical AV designs, schematics and Statements/Scopes of Work.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet and AutoTask .
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- PMP and/or CTS certification is highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Communications or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent industry experience will be considered.
