Mirabelle ELC We are seeking an experienced Lead Educator to join our long day care centre in Bangalow, in the beautiful Byron hinterland. In this role, you will guide a small team of educators within your room, planning and delivering engaging, play based learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard. You will build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, support the development of fellow educators, and help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

responsibilities Leading and guiding the educator team in the assigned room to deliver a consistent, high quality program Planning, delivering, and reflecting on learning experiences that support children’s development and interests Observing and documenting children’s progress, and sharing this with families Providing daily care routines, including meals, rest, hygiene, and supervision, with a focus on safety and wellbeing Maintaining a clean, safe,



and welcoming learning environment in line with health and safety requirements Communicating regularly and respectfully with families about their child’s day, routines, and development Mentoring and supporting educators, trainees, and students on placement Supporting children with diverse needs, backgrounds, and abilities through inclusive practice Complying with the National Quality Framework, child protection obligations, and centre policies Qualification &

experience Minimum of 12 months’ relevant experience working as an educator in an early childhood education and care setting is required. A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) is required, and a Diploma is highly regarded for this leadership role. A current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates are also required.

Learning is a long day care centre located at 29-33 Granuaille Road, Bangalow, in the Byron Bay hinterland of northern New South Wales. Operating since late 2021 and approved to care for up to 60 children from infants through to preschool age, the centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Mirabelle has achieved an overall Exceeding rating under the National Quality Standard, including Exceeding ratings in several quality areas, reflecting its commitment to high quality early childhood education and care.
