About the Job
We are seeking 50 meat production workers who value coming to work in a safe and supportive environment.
Roles Available
- Meat Production Workers
Responsibilities: Depending on your experience and skillsets, you may be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
- Production work on the processing line
- Trimming, cutting beef
- Meat packing, labelling and weighing
- Chiller and freezer room operations
- Operating production equipment and machinery
- Handling cattle and assisting with the smooth flow of livestock
- Livestock yard operations and animal movement
- Carcass dressing and processing
- Meat inspection support and quality checks
- Sorting, grading and preparing meat products
- Weighing, portioning and packing meat products
- Vacuum packing and sealing products
- Carton packing, stacking and palletising
- Loading and unloading meat products
- Dispatch, distribution and warehousing
- Stock control and inventory handling
- Operating forklifts or other equipment (where licensed and authorised)
- Industrial cleaning and sanitation
- Cleaning and sanitising production equipment and work areas
- Handling by-products and waste materials
- General labouring duties within the meat processing facility
- Following food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining production records and completing basic documentation
- Assisting with equipment setup and changeovers
- Moving materials, supplies and packaging throughout the facility
- Performing other duties as reasonably required by the business To be successful, you must meet the following requirements:
- Australian Citizen/Permanent Residency/Full Working Rights in Australia are essential
- Complete a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol test
- Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing to get)
- Be able to provide two qualified references.
What's in it for you
As a full time, permanent employee, you will work a Monday to Friday roster of 38 or 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime and weekend work.
Hourly rate range of $28.96 - $40.91 as per our Teys Australia Naracoorte Production Employees Agreement.
Shift times vary, however work may start at 3:00am, 5:00am, 5:30am, 2:25pm, 2:40pm, 3pm, and finish at 12:11pm, 2:11pm,2:41pm, 11:26pm,11:51pm and 11:26pm.
Roles will commence in January 2027 and will be for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of four years.
