We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our growing team and support our almond orchard operations across Griffith region.
This is a hands-on role working across multiple farms in the Griffith region, responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a diverse range of agricultural machinery, equipment and vehicles to ensure our farming operations run safely, reliably and efficiently.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a practical agricultural setting, takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery, tractors, vehicles and orchard equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and undertake repairs to minimise operational downtime.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of equipment ahead of key seasonal activities, including almond harvest.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential mechanical issues and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate servicing, repair and maintenance records.
- Work collaboratively with Farm Managers and operational staff to prioritise maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
About You We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and takes a practical approach to problem-solving. Ideally, you will bring:
- A trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Agricultural Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related mechanical trade.
- Previous experience servicing and repairing agricultural machinery, heavy vehicles or similar equipment.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of maintenance tasks.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with farm teams.
- A commitment to safe work practices and maintaining equipment to a high standard.
- A current driver's licence.
- Experience working with almond harvesting equipment, tractors, orchard machinery or irrigation equipment would be highly regarded, although not essential.
