About the Practice
Total Care Urology is an established specialist practice based at The Wesley Hospital in Auchenflower, Brisbane. Our doctors deliver a high standard of patient care, and we are growing, with another doctor joining in early 2027. You will join a friendly, professional team that values reliability, clear communication and genuine care for patients.
About the Opportunity
You will be the first face, and voice patients meet. Welcome patients, manage appointments and support our doctors, while working with hospital staff and other medical practitioners. You will work independently and as part of a team in a busy specialist setting.
Work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 15 to 20 hours a week, with varying shifts between 8am and 5pm.
Flexibility with shift times is essential. You will be based at The Wesley Hospital and cover a specialist’s clinic at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, Spring Hill, about two days a month.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Welcome patients with warmth and care, in person and by phone
- Manage appointments and keep doctors’ clinic schedules running on time
- Support doctors and clinical staff with daily practice needs
- Communicate clearly with patients, hospital teams and other practitioners
- Prioritise competing tasks calmly in a busy specialist clinic
What capability and experience will you need to have:
- Essential: previous medical reception experience
- Clear communication with patients, doctors and practitioners
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and calm prioritising
- A friendly, compassionate manner and skilled presentation
- Gentu practice management software experience (highly regarded)
