Merchandising Assistant (Casual) | Super Mercato, Double Bay

Love great food? Help us make our shelves look as good as what's on them.

Super Mercato is a Mediterranean superfoods grocer in the heart of Double Bay. We hand-pick our range, we stack our produce high, and we make panini people genuinely rave about. We're a small, tight team, and we're looking for an energetic Merchandising Assistant to work alongside our Head of Merchandising and keep the store looking incredible every day.

What you'll be doing

- Unpacking deliveries and getting fresh produce, deli lines and groceries onto the floor fast

- Building eye-catching fruit, veg and grocery displays that make customers stop and pick something up

- Keeping shelves full, faced up and rotated so everything stays fresh and well stocked

- Checking dates, logging waste and keeping the back of house organised

- Helping our Head of Merchandising with price changes, recent products and seasonal set-ups

- Jumping in on the floor and helping customers when it gets busy

What you'll bring

- Full working rights in Australia for at least 24 hours a week. Student visa holders are welcome to apply.

- Physical fitness and comfort with hands-on work. You'll be lifting heavy produce and grocery boxes, and you'll be on your feet for your whole shift.

- An eye for detail and a bit of pride in a shelf that looks spot on

- Reliability, good energy and a can-do attitude

- Fruit and vegetable experience is a big bonus. You'll know how to handle, rotate and display fresh produce so it looks its best.

- Retail, grocery or hospitality experience is also a plus, but we'll train the right person.

Why you'll love it

- Casual hours that can work around study
- A friendly, close-knit team where your work actually shows

- Staff perks on some seriously good food

- Room to grow as we grow

The details

- Casual role, minimum 24 hours per week

- Location: Double Bay, NSW

- Pay: General Retail Industry Award, Retail Employee Level 1, plus casual loading

If you're the kind of person who can't walk past a messy shelf without fixing it, we'd love to hear from you. Hit Apply and tell us a little about yourself and your availability.
