Tenure: 12 months, potential permanency.Classification: Teacher Levels; Graduate - Experienced and Senior Teacher 2, HAT and LT. Subjects:Science The Middle and Senior School Teacher reports to the Deputy Principal, Middle and Senior School. They will be directly responsible to the Head of Faculty for day-to-day operational matters and primarily responsible for the wellbeing of each individual student in their care and for the delivery of the Australian Curriculum through a Biblical worldview, and an innovative and research-based model of instruction.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the College’s Biblical worldview.
- Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback and complete reporting requirements.
- Use student data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective curriculum and teaching documentation.
- Use contemporary teaching strategies and ICT to enhance student learning.
- Support the safety, wellbeing, pastoral care and spiritual development of students.
- Build positive, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Participate in College activities, skilled learning, co-curricular programs and camps.
- Contribute actively to the Christian life, culture and broader community of the College.

Qualifications

- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility for registration.
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualification.
