BEST IN WEST MECHANICAL REPAIRS PTY LTD As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing petrol engines and the mechanical systems of light motor vehicles, including transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes. You will play a key role in keeping our customers’ vehicles safe, reliable and running at their best.

responsibilities Identify and diagnose faults in engines and mechanical components. Strip down and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems and other parts, and inspect components for wear or damage. Repair or replace worn and faulty parts, rebuilding mechanical components with reference to manufacturer service manuals where required.

Carry out scheduled servicing, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups, to keep vehicles running smoothly and in line with emissions and pollution requirements. Reassemble engines and components once repairs are complete. Test and fine-tune repaired parts and systems to confirm they are operating correctly.

Use computerised diagnostic equipment to test components and pinpoint issues.



Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and, where applicable, issue roadworthy certificates or advise customers of the work needed to meet roadworthy standards. Maintain, test and repair petrol engines and the mechanical systems of light vehicles, including transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems.

Qualification &

experience Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent recognised qualification. 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic in a commercial workshop. Sound knowledge of light vehicle mechanical systems and confidence using computerised diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical data.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
