Immediate start: MR Driver with a forklift licence needed now in Matraville

Workahub is looking for a reliable MR Truck Driver who can also run a forklift. The role is with our client, a busy freight and e-commerce logistics operator near Port Botany. If you have your licences, can start straight away and take pride in getting freight delivered on time and in one piece, we want to hear from you today.

What you’ll be doing

- Running metro delivery and pick-up runs from the daily runsheet
- Getting proof of delivery (signature or photo) for every consignment
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Restraining loads correctly and following Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue rules
- Loading and unloading trucks, unpacking containers, building pallets and wrapping freight
- Using the forklift to receive, sort, move and dispatch freight in the warehouse
- Scanning and checking freight against manifests and consignment notes
- Keeping the depot updated on delays, failed deliveries and access issues
- Representing the company professionally at every customer drop

What you need

- A current MR licence or higher (HR, HC or MC)
- A current forklift licence (LF)
- Proven experience in truck driving or transport operations
- Forklift, freight handling and warehouse or dock experience
- A good understanding of load restraint, manual handling and CoR under the HVNL
- Confidence with handheld scanners and accurate paperwork
- Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude




- Physical fitness for a hands-on role
- A clean safety record and a safety-first approach

Bonus points for

- E-commerce, freight forwarding or express parcel experience
- Experience with a TMS or freight scanning platform
- Dangerous goods (DG) awareness or certification
- A current First Aid certificate

- Agree to a National Police Check and an Australian Border Force (ABF) “fit and proper person” assessment
- Provide identity documents in colour, including:
- one commencement document (Australian passport, full birth certificate, citizenship certificate, or a visa with a foreign passport)
- one primary photo ID (e.g. driver licence)
- one secondary document (e.g. Medicare card)
