Wurtulla Plumbing and Drainage
Caloundra
Wurtulla Plumbing & Drainage is looking for a capable, organised operations all-rounder to join our busy Caloundra-based team. If you enjoy coordinating people, solving problems, staying one step ahead and seeing jobs through from booking to completion, we’d like to hear from you.
We are a growing, Australian-owned family business delivering reactive and planned plumbing and drainage services across commercial, government, retail, property management, industrial and domestic settings.
The role
This is a hands on office based operations role, not just a scheduling or administration position. You’ll work closely with another coordinator and our Planning Manager to keep field teams productive, customers informed and jobs properly organised.
Our two coordinators rotate between managing today’s live work and preparing tomorrow’s jobs and the forward workload. That means variety, shared accountability and the opportunity to understand the full service operation.
What you’ll be doing
· Coordinate plumbers, customer appointments and changes to the daily job schedule.
· Keep customers and field staff informed, and resolve everyday operational issues.
· Track jobs through to completion, ensuring labour, materials and documentation are captured.
· Follow up completed work and help get accurate invoices issued promptly.
· Plan upcoming jobs, including access, materials, equipment, subcontractors and staffing requirements.
· Organise planned maintenance, purchase orders and supplier follow-ups.
· Maintain accurate records in our job management system and provide clear handovers to your colleagues.
· Identify problems early, take ownership of follow-ups and escalate technical or higher-risk matters when needed.
What we’re looking for
· Experience in operations coordination, scheduling, dispatch, logistics, service administration or a similar fast-moving environment.
· A naturally organised, proactive person who can juggle changing priorities without losing the detail.
· Confident communication with customers, suppliers and people working in the field.
· Strong computer skills and the ability to learn job management software.
· Good judgement, follow-through and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
· A team-first attitude and a genuine focus on delivering great customer service.
Experience in plumbing or another trade/service business is a definite advantage, but it is not essential. We value transferable skills and the right approach to getting things done.
What we offer
· A permanent, full-time role based in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.
· A stable, growing family business with a broad mix of customers and work.
· A supportive team and a role with genuine variety and responsibility.
· Competitive remuneration based on your experience and capabilities.
· The chance to help improve how our operations run as the business grows.
