Benefits Task &

responsibilities Duties Preparing surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, sanding, and washing walls. Applying primers, sealers, and undercoats to prepare surfaces for final finish coats. Utilising a variety of painting techniques and materials, including brush, roller, and spray applications to achieve a high-quality, smooth finish on walls, ceilings, trim, and exterior surfaces.

Selecting and mixing paints to achieve desired colours and finishes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and durability standards. Covering a wide range of painting services, including interior and exterior painting, enamel application for woodwork trim, and concrete or Colorbond roof painting. Applying texture coatings and creating faux and feature walls as per client specifications to enhance aesthetic appeal.

Performing timber staining with varnish finishes, as well as decking restoration services, including oiling or painting, to preserve and enhance natural wood surfaces. Applying protective coatings and floor finishes to driveways, floors, and other surfaces, including sealing and anti-slip treatments where required.



Conducting repairs and restoration work to ensure surfaces are prepared and structurally sound before painting, addressing damage such as cracks, water stains, and peeling paint.

Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations, including safe handling of materials and disposal of waste in accordance with industry standards. Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and ensure all painting work meets or exceeds expectations, delivering a seamless and hassle-free service experience. Maintaining tools, equipment, and materials in optimal condition and coordinating with team members to ensure efficient project execution and consistent, high-quality results.

Qualification &

experience Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification). At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Painter.

Strong knowledge of paint selection, mixing techniques, and application methods. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding safely.

Time management skills to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
