About the role

Happy Books Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a remote casual position offering flexibility for the right candidate. As a Part-time Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our accounting services. What you'll be doing

- Recording financial transactions accurately in accounting systems and ledgers

- Processing invoices, receipts and expense documents for multiple clients

- Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies

- Preparing preliminary financial reports and statements

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

- Data entry and maintenance of client financial records

- Assisting with payroll processing, superannuation and PAYG withholding compliance

- BAS preparation

- Working directly with clients to keep their books accurate and up to date.

- Supporting the wider accounting team with administrative and bookkeeping duties as required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role

- Strong practical MYOB experience. Xero experience is beneficial.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices

- Competent with Apple iWork applications

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts





- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

- Reliable and trustworthy approach to handling confidential financial information

- Knowledge of Australian tax and superannuation requirements is desirable

- Certificate III or IV in Accounting or Business is highly valued but not essential for experienced candidates
