Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park is a 71-room hotel on Mounts Bay Road, between Kings Park and the Swan River and only minutes from the Perth CBD. About the role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef to join our kitchen part time. You will lead the busy buffet breakfast service and cook our à la carte dinner menu, working across both shifts as the roster requires.

What you will do

- - Prepare, set up and replenish a high-quality buffet breakfast
- Prepare, cook and plate dishes for à la carte dinner service
- Keep food quality, presentation and consistency to Mercure brand standards
- Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient, including stock rotation and prep
- Help cover annual and personal leave across the kitchen team when needed

What you will bring

- - At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef or Cook in a hotel, restaurant or similar setting
- Experience with both buffet breakfast and à la carte dinner service
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (preferred)
- A current Food Safety Handler certificate, or willingness to obtain one




- The ability to stay calm and organised in a busy kitchen
- Reliability, punctuality and valuable time management
- Availability for 24–30 hours per week across mornings, evenings and weekends
- Full working rights in Australia
