As a part-time Payroll Officer with Safetech Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our fortnightly payroll for our employees located across Australia. This position is essential for the organisation by providing technical skills to payroll management and providing exceptional support to our workforce.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately process fortnightly payroll for 160 staff across various states in Australia
- Maintenance of work schedules and clocking system
- Processing of recent starters and terminations
- Complete regular payments such as group tax and superannuation via clearing house
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and regulations
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on payroll-related matters
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an end-to-end payroll position
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, including taxation, superannuation, and other deductions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Proficiency in using payroll software (preferably Access Definitiv) and MS Office suite
- Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
