Join a leading Australian university undertaking a strategic review of its research technology landscape.

This chance will suit an experienced Enterprise Architect with demonstrated experience supporting research environments within a university, research institution or research-intensive organisation. Research experience is essential for success in this role.

Working remotely, you'll partner with senior technology and research stakeholders to assess current capabilities, define future-state architecture and develop a strategic roadmap that supports research outcomes, innovation and long-term technology investment.

Your new role

As the Principal Enterprise Architect, you will lead a comprehensive assessment of the current research technology ecosystem and develop a future-state vision and roadmap.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading workshops and stakeholder consultations across research and technology functions
- Assessing research technology platforms, services, infrastructure and capabilities
- Developing target-state architecture and capability models
- Creating a prioritised multi-year roadmap for research technology investment
- Providing recommendations across cloud, data, cyber security, integration and research platforms




- Producing executive-level reports, architecture artefacts and strategic recommendations
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership

What you'll need to succeed

- Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy or Digital Transformation roles
- Essential experience working within universities, research institutions or research-intensive environments
- Strong understanding of research technology ecosystems and the platforms that support research activities
- Proven ability to deliver architecture reviews, technology assessments and strategic roadmaps
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders and translating technical concepts into business outcomes
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, cyber security and integration architectures
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
