About Vero

Vero Living is an architecturally designed volume builder. We build through Melbourne's growth corridors and across the established suburbs with knockdown rebuilds. We are a small team right now, deliberately. The next five years are about growing it properly, and the people we hire now are the ones who will be running it.

The role

You will own working drawings at Vero. We have an offshore drafting team in place and you will run it from day one: brief the work, check what comes back, mark it up and make sure every set that goes to site is right. You will work directly with clients through their drawings, from the first working set to the final construction issue, and with our production design team to get the detail resolved properly. As we grow, you will help build and lead an onshore production team around you.

This is a hands-on role with a transparent path. The title is Production Manager and the job on day one is mostly drawings and markups. The job in two to three years is running the production function.

What you will do

- Manage the offshore drafting team: allocate, brief, review and sign off working drawings
- Mark up and correct drawings to Vero's standards and keep the standards current
- Manage clients' working drawings, including client meetings and revisions

- Work with the production design team on detail resolution and buildability
- Maintain Revit templates, families and documentation standards
- Build the onshore production team as volume grows, then lead it

What you bring

- Three or more years of production drafting at a volume builder
- Strong Revit skills, used daily
- A record of checking other people's drawings, not just producing your own
- Comfortable in front of clients. Sales, estimating or customer-facing design experience is a genuine advantage
- Knockdown rebuild experience is a plus
- No ego. You're keen to learn, happy to challenge the norm and happy to be wrong in review. Getting it right matters more than who was right
- You want to build something, not maintain it

What you get

- A real path from Production Manager to leading the whole production function
- Offshore team in place now, onshore team to help build
- A small team where your work is visible and your opinion gets heard and actioned
- Northcote office with a stunning city view
