Role Description
My client is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations across three shifts.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, leading a team and making sure production runs efficiently. You will be responsible for managing people, maintaining production standards and keeping operations on track.
The business is also working towards moving to a 24-hour production model, making this an important position as the operation continues to grow.
For someone looking to take the next step in their career, there is also the potential to progress into a broader Operations Management role over time.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities across three shifts, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
- Lead and manage production staff, setting explicit expectations and maintaining a strong team environment.
- Coordinate staffing requirements, shift coverage and daily production schedules.
- Monitor production output, quality and workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
- Identify areas where production processes can be improved and take action to address issues.
- Maintain workplace health and safety standards across the manufacturing floor.
- Work closely with senior management to keep production running smoothly and meet business requirements.
- Help prepare the operation for its transition to a 24-hour production model.
- Take a hands-on approach to resolving production issues and supporting the team when required.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Production Supervisor or similar manufacturing leadership role.
- Experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment.
- A hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the front.
- Good understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes and workflow management.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to get the best out of a team.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and improving production performance.
- Current forklift licence is essential.
- Flexible approach to working hours, with standard hours generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
Salary and Benefits
Base $100-$120k + 12% Super
