THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a driven and commercially savvy Project Manager to lead the delivery of new club developments and refurbishments across our national network. From concept to handover, you’ll take full ownership of projects—shaping vibrant, high-performing spaces that bring the Viva brand to life.

You’ll lead contractor procurement and engagement, oversee head contractors, and implement robust project systems to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. Acting as the key link between internal teams and external partners, you’ll drive alignment, manage risk, and keep projects on time and on budget.

Joining a highly collaborative team of Project Managers, you’ll be part of a closely connected group that works together daily - fostering a supportive environment built on open communication, mutual respect, and a solid team culture.

With a strong pipeline of refurbishment and greenfield projects, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Viva Leisure’s ongoing growth strategy. With regular site travel and real influence on our expanding footprint, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the future of one of Australia’s most exciting fitness brands.

This role is based at our Gold Coast Head Office and involves regular interstate travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end delivery of new site developments and refurbishments across the Viva Leisure network
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Act as the primary point of contact for projects, ensuring clear, timely and professional communication
- Manage procurement and contractor engagement to ensure best value and high-quality outcomes
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and in line with approved scope and brand standards
- Develop and manage detailed project programmes aligned with agreed club opening dates
- Monitor project budgets, control costs and minimise variations
- Conduct site inspections, manage defects and ensure compliance at completion
- Drive consistency in look, feel and quality across all locations
- Identify risks, resolve issues proactively and implement continuous improvements across projects
- Provide structured reporting and regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks and milestones




- Work autonomously while aligning delivery with broader business strategy

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with:

Education & Qualifications

- Certification in Project Management or a related discipline (desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, project management, property, or a related field (desirable)
- Current Driver’s Licence

Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated experience in a similar Project Manager role, including successful delivery of projects from conception to completion
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a timely and efficient manner
- Strong understanding of managing projects within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to identify risks and issues quickly and implement practical, outcome-focused solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and consultants to achieve project deliverables
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring all parties are informed, aligned and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
