Formal trade qualifications are highly regarded; however, we also recognise the value of practical industry experience and encourage applications from candidates with substantial, demonstrated experience in a relevant trade.

What You'll Be Doing

Working across a variety of civil construction and industrial projects, your responsibilities may include:
- Reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications and engineered drawings.
- Constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems for concrete structures.
- Steel fixing, reinforcement preparation and installation.




- Concrete placement, finishing and associated construction activities.
- Undertaking concrete repairs and remediation works.
- Installing structural components, bollards, buildings and other site infrastructure.
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and site teams to deliver quality project outcomes.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and site-specific requirements.

No two projects are exactly the same, providing opportunities to apply your existing trade skills while developing experience across different aspects of civil construction.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable, safety-conscious tradespeople who take pride in their work, communicate effectively and enjoy being part of a team.

Essential requirements:

- Certificate III or higher qualification in Carpentry, Concreting, Formwork, Landscape Carpentry, Joinery or a closely related trade, OR substantial demonstrated industry experience in relevant trade.
- Current Construction White Card (or recognised equivalent).
- Current open manual driver's licence (Class C) and reliable transport to and from work.
- Relevant hands-on construction or trade experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- Physical capability to safely undertake the inherent manual duties of the position.
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive, safety-focused attitude towards work.

Highly desirable licences, tickets and competencies:

- High Risk Work Licences – Dogging (DG), Basic Rigging (RB) and/or Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (WP).
- Other relevant Elevated Work Platform (EWP) tickets or competencies.




- Working Safely at Heights.
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces.
- Provide First Aid and/or CPR.
- Explosives Clearance.

Highly desirable medicals and site clearances:

- Current Gladstone 3-Site Medipass (Yellow or Blue).
- Current respiratory fit testing (Face Fit).
- Existing Gladstone industrial site inductions.

Additional experience highly regarded:

- Previous experience working on major civil construction or industrial projects.
- Practical experience in formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement or remediation.
- Familiarity with industrial site safety requirements and procedures.

Don't have a formal trade qualification or tick every box? We recognise that valuable trade skills aren't always gained through formal qualifications alone.
