Linux Engineer - Kubernetes & Bare-Metal Infrastructure

A leading trading firm is hiring a Linux Engineer into its global infrastructure team. You'll help build out an on-prem Kubernetes platform while keeping a large, performance-critical Linux estate running at its best.

The role

1. Build and operate Kubernetes on bare metal in the firm's own data centres
2. Own the Linux fleet: provisioning, lifecycle and performance tuning
3. Automate through infrastructure as code, GitOps and CI/CD
4. Improve reliability, observability and security, and share on-call

About you

1. Strong production Linux engineering background
2. Hands-on experience running Kubernetes on-prem, not just managed cloud
3. Solid networking fundamentals and a knack for deep performance troubleshooting
4. Calm in an incident, with a habit of fixing root causes
5. Low-latency or performance-sensitive experience is a plus
