About the role

We are seeking a Retail Sale Assistant to join our team at our Launceston location on a casual basis. This role is fundamental to delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales across our retail operations. As a Retail Sale Assistant, you will be the face of Faulls Shoes, engaging with customers, showcasing our products and ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied.

This position offers flexibility with casual working arrangements, making it ideal for individuals seeking varied hours and the opportunity to be part of a agile retail setting.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, professional assistance whilst they browse and shop

- Demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge and making tailored recommendations to meet customer needs

- Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments

- Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing retail environment, including stock rotation and merchandise displays

- Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory management as required

- Answering customer enquiries and resolving any concerns or complaints professionally and courteously

- Supporting promotional activities and communicating current offers to customers





- Collaborating effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- A friendly, professional demeanour and genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately

- Reliability and flexibility to work varied hours as required within a casual role
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

- Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain store standards
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the retail environment
