About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and customer-focused Retail Supervisor / Administration Support to join our team. This is a diverse and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys leading a team, driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to the smooth operation of a busy retail and landscaping business.

Working closely with management, you will play a key role in supervising daily retail operations, supporting and developing team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with purchasing and administration.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering results while maintaining high standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervising daily retail operations and supporting the management team
- Leading, coaching, and developing team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Identifying and maximising sales opportunities across retail, trade, and commercial customers
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional communication and reliable product knowledge
- Monitoring stock levels, maintaining inventory accuracy,



and coordinating stock replenishment
- Ensuring retail displays, product signage, storerooms, and yard areas are organised, well-presented, and maintained
- Implementing and maintaining company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Assisting with supplier relationships, product sourcing, purchasing, and the introduction of new product lines
- Processing customer sales, orders, and invoices through our POS system
- Coordinating customer orders, stock availability, and delivery requirements
- Processing supplier orders, new products, and pricing updates through our inventory management system
- Maintaining accurate price lists, product information, and operational documentation
- Answering customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Assisting with general administration and day-to-day business operations

Skills & Experience

✔ Previous retail supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred) ✔ Robust customer service and sales skills

✔ Experience in landscaping supplies, building materials, garden centres, or trade retail highly regarded

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✔ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail





✔ Confident computer skills and experience with POS and inventory management systems

✔ Ability to coach, motivate, and support team members

✔ Experience with stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination advantageous

✔ Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing responsibilities

✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative

✔ Reliable, professional, and results-driven
