Forbes District Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Community Nursing team on a contract basis. This is a short-term opportunity running from 9 November through to 31 December 2026, ideal for a nurse looking to contribute to community-based care in a regional setting. The role offers the chance to work directly with patients in their homes and community settings, delivering nursing care that makes a real difference to local health outcomes.

- Deliver nursing care in community settings across the Forbes region

- 7.5-week contract position with flexible engagement

- Work with an established community nursing team in a supportive regional healthcare setting

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA





- Demonstrated experience in community nursing or community-based healthcare delivery

- Ability to work autonomously and manage patient caseloads in home and community environments

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations

- Reliable transport and willingness to travel within the Forbes district

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, with current AHPRA registration

- Post-graduate qualification or specialisation in community health nursing

- First Aid and CPR certification current at time of commencement
