About the Role

QACO NSW Pty Ltd is seeking reliable and experienced Roofers (Tiled and Metal Roofing) and Roof Labourers to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

Successful candidates will undertake responsive maintenance, roofing repairs and emergency make-safe works across Homes NSW residential properties.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their workmanship, prioritise safety and can work independently or as part of a team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Roofers – Tiled & Metal Roofing

- Inspect, identify and repair roof leaks and defects.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on tiled and metal roofs.
- Replace damaged roof tiles, metal sheets, ridge capping and flashings.
- Repair and replace gutters, downpipes, valleys and associated roofing components.
- Undertake emergency make-safe works and responsive maintenance.
- Diagnose roofing issues and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- Complete site inspections, take photographs and provide timely work updates.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements and client specifications.

Roof Labourers

- Assist qualified roofers with roofing repairs and maintenance.
- Load, unload and transport roofing materials and equipment.
- Assist with roof tile, metal sheet and gutter replacements under supervision.
- Set up and maintain safe work areas, including barricades and access equipment.
- Maintain tools, equipment and site cleanliness.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced roofers.
- Assist with site photographs and job documentation.
- Comply with all workplace safety procedures.

Essential Requirements
- Valid NSW White Card – Mandatory




- Contractor Licence - Roof Plumber/Tiler (preferred)
- Current Working at Heights Certificate – Mandatory
- Current Driver Licence – Mandatory
- Recent clear National Police Check (issued within the last six months) or willingness to obtain one – Mandatory
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) – Preferred.
- Previous experience in roofing, construction or building maintenance.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work within a team.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.

- Strictly follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and WHS procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE, fall protection and height safety equipment.
- Complete pre-start safety checks and required site documentation.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Follow all Homes NSW site safety requirements and company policies.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times.

No SWMS, No Work.
