Start before Christmas! The Opportunity A major enterprise organisation is currently delivering a significant transformation across its core corporate application landscape. They are running one of the largest and most complex ERP environments in the country, integrating large-scale rostering, payroll, and a modern SAP S/4HANA backbone covering finance, supply chain, and logistics.

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Solution Architect to join the program on an initial 6-month engagement. Given the multi-year roadmap, this engagement offers genuine longevity, complex technical challenges, and the chance to shape solutions that directly impact statewide operations. What You’ll Be Doing

You will serve as the trusted architectural authority across S/4HANA initiatives, working closely with senior business owners, technical delivery squads, and vendor partners.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading end-to-end functional solution architecture across S/4HANA finance, business operations, and logistics modules.
- Translating complex operational requirements into clean, scalable architectural designs and detailed technical specifications.
- Reviewing change requests, deviations, and continuous enhancements to keep the core solution robust, standardized, and fit for purpose.
- Managing risk, evaluating solution impacts across integrated platforms (including payroll and workforce management), and keeping designs aligned with broader enterprise standards.
- Facilitating structured design reviews,



ensuring quality governance across deliverables from internal teams and external delivery partners.
- Mentoring and transferring knowledge to internal technical and functional specialists to build long-term internal capability.

What We’re Looking ForTo hit the ground running, you will bring:

- Proven track record operating as a Functional Solution Architect across complex, large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations or major transformation programs.
- Deep functional expertise across core S/4HANA modules (Finance/FICO, Procurement/MM, Logistics, or Supply Chain).
- Strong working knowledge of modern enterprise application integration, particularly where ERP backbones connect with workforce management, rostering, or payroll systems.
- Sharp stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between commercial business requirements and technical design.
- Experience delivering architectural governance within large, highly regulated enterprise or government environments.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting architectural decisions to executive steering committees.
