Senior Account Manager - Concrete

Based across Melbourne but with a heavy focus in the West (Caroline Springs, Rockbank, Deer Park, Melton), the position will be responsible for customer relationships and service, driving new sales growth and providing market intel within the concrete division of Aurora Construction Materials.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager (Concrete), but also working hand-in-hand with the Technical Manager and the Operations Manager, you'll be working amongst a group of like minded professionals.

Responsibilities of the role

This is a critical hunter role responsible for driving sales of concrete products to new accounts and ensuring existing customer accounts are managed professionally, accurately and with a service focus. The applicant must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to cold call on prospective clients and increase share of wallet with current clients. They must be well versed in the art of seeking out new clients and projects through all channels.





The Senior Account Manager will be focused on delivering performance in concrete sales focusing on volume, price, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. They will use all tools available to them including order book, sales reports and call plans and be measured by them.

Responsibilities include

- Generate and convert new business

- Build and maintain a trusting and positive working relationship with customers

- Manage key accounts and grow share of wallet

- Achieve key sales targets including volume, price and margin

- Work with internal stakeholders to achieve results as a team

- Resolve customer issues, disputes and/or complaints, both onsite and offsite, in a very prompt, timely and professional manner

- Interpret and utilise key sales reports to grow volume, price, margin and share of wallet

The role also requires working with and assisting other Aurora divisions with providing leads and assistance to service customers taking other product lines (quarry products, building supplies etc).

Essential Criteria To be considered for this role, you must have Account Management or Sales Representative experience, ideally within the construction industry, particularly selling any form of building materials to Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 commercial builders and contractors and to home builders.

- Prior success in a similar role
- An interest in the construction industry and the desire to succeed and shape a long-term career with a key disrupter in the market
- A passion for the environment and an eagerness to play a significant role in shaping a current greener concrete industry

- Team player with strong communication skills who can build effective relationships internally and externally

- IT Proficiency, especially in word and Excel with an ability to analyse sales reports and make sound business decisions using data.

- Full Victorian drivers’ licence
