About the role

Delta Group is looking for a practical, self-motivated Site Engineer to join our Project Management team. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, the Construction Manager (Demo/Civil), the Operations Manager and site crews to help plan, deliver and close out projects safely, on budget and to the standard our customers expect. You’ll also guide Cadets on site, which makes this a strong role for someone who wants to build leadership experience early.

What you’ll be doing

- Delivering projects using sound engineering and project management principles, in line with Delta Group’s QSE management systems and Project Delivery Process

- Preparing variations for Project Manager review and following up site instruction requests





- Developing and status-tracking short-range programs with resources allocated to each task

- Tracking project costs weekly and analysing the cost of work methodologies

- Preparing QA inspections and ITPs, keeping daily site diaries with photos, and recording actual production rates

- Preparing QSE documents including management plans, SWEMS and permits, and completing Take 5s

- Reviewing and verifying subcontractor and supplier invoices, and vetting subcontractor tenders

- Assisting with estimating and tender submissions, and helping identify new opportunities in construction, demolition, recycling and civil works

- Contributing to monthly project reports, including the risk and chance register

- Building strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and the site team

About you

- Engineering degree

- Understanding of project management fundamentals and risk management

- Self-starter with a practical, hands-on approach

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Computer literate, with accurate documentation and reporting skills

- Willingness to travel within NSW for project work
