Site Manager – Tier 3 builder $22M Social Housing Apartment Project | Darra, Brisbane | Starting Early 2027

A well known and respected Tier 3 builder is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a upcoming $22M social housing apartment development in Darra, with construction scheduled to commence in early 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading subcontractors and driving construction programs while working within a capable and supportive project team.

The Project The initial project will be a $22M social housing apartment development located in Darra, delivering much-needed residential accommodation to the local community.

With the project due to commence in early 2027, this is a great opportunity to get involved from the outset, contribute to the planning and construction methodology, and take ownership of the site delivery.

The Role

Reporting into the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing all on-site construction activities from commencement through to completion.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Driving the construction programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Maintaining high standards of WHS,



quality assurance and environmental compliance.
- Managing site logistics, sequencing and construction methodology.
- Conducting site meetings, toolbox talks and progress reporting.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team to resolve construction challenges.

About You To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Site Manager within the commercial construction industry.
- A proven track record delivering apartment, residential or multi-storey projects.
- Experience working on projects valued at $15M–$30M+.
- Robust subcontractor management and programming capabilities.
- A thorough understanding of Queensland construction practices and WHS requirements.
- The ability to lead from the front while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.
