About The Company

Natural Selection Group is a purpose-led recruitment business connecting skilled professionals with opportunities across technology and digital experience. For this role, the successful candidate will join a global digital experience consultancy and support the established digital environment of a major enterprise client. The consultancy works with a distributed delivery team, including US-based project managers, developers and digital specialists, and Melbourne-based marketing and digital stakeholders.

Natural Selection Group is committed to making a positive contribution through its work. For every role it fills, the company donates to a charity selected by the client. It has surpassed $1 million in donations and continues to build on that impact.

About The Role

This is a senior technical opportunity for an experienced Sitefinity developer to become the primary technical presence for the client during Melbourne business hours. You will take ownership of the ongoing development, enhancement and production support of a business-critical enterprise website environment. This is an established digital platform, not a greenfield build, so you will need to be comfortable understanding existing systems, improving functionality and responding to operational priorities.

The role is fully remote within Melbourne and is offered as an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for annual renewal. You will work primarily Melbourne business hours, with occasional meetings involving the US-based delivery team. As the consultancy expands its Melbourne development capability, you will provide senior technical ownership while staying closely connected to a distributed team.

Responsibilities In this role, you will develop and support Sitefinity applications using .NET and C#,

delivering backend enhancements and new functionality across established enterprise websites. You will build and modify widgets, page templates, integrations and supporting application components, balancing planned development with the needs of a live production setting.

You will investigate website defects, troubleshoot unfamiliar systems and resolve business-critical production issues. You will manage tickets in Azure DevOps from initial investigation through to resolution, keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining clear communication about progress and outcomes. You will also support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services.

Working directly with Melbourne-based marketing and digital stakeholders, you will clarify requirements and translate business needs into practical technical solutions. You will collaborate with US-based project managers, developers and digital specialists, participate in client stand-ups and communicate effectively across Australian and US time zones. A key part of the position is taking responsibility for technical decisions and issue resolution while working autonomously.

Qualifications

Progress Sitefinity experience is essential. You will also bring significant commercial experience developing backend applications with .NET and C#, along with a strong background supporting enterprise web applications and established production environments.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure App Services, is required.

You should be confident diagnosing complex technical issues independently and working through unfamiliar systems. Experience using Azure DevOps or a comparable development workflow and ticketing platform is important. Strong stakeholder communication skills are essential, as the role involves direct engagement with enterprise clients and close collaboration with a distributed delivery team.

Experience with Kentico, Contentstack or Contentful will also be considered. Exposure to Marketo or Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial. Above all, you will be organised, accountable and comfortable balancing development work with production support responsibilities.

Benefits

Work remotely from Melbourne and collaborate with an experienced global digital delivery team. Take genuine ownership of a major enterprise environment, with responsibility for ongoing development and production issues rather than backlog features alone. The contract offers an initial 12-month term with potential annual renewal, and provides the opportunity to deepen your enterprise experience across .NET, Sitefinity, Azure and digital experience technology.

Equal Opportunity

Natural Selection Group welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and is committed to inclusive recruitment. Applications from First Nations peoples and other underrepresented communities are encouraged. By applying, you consent to Natural Selection Group collecting and using your personal information to assess your application and contact you about this and relevant opportunities by phone, email or SMS. You may opt out of further contact at any time.
