Customs House Hotel is one of Newcastle's best-known heritage venues, right on the harbour. We're coming into our busy summer season & soon moving to six-day trading with longer hours. To make that happen, we're growing our management team and want hospitality leaders at every level.
Duty Managers
Whether you're a robust supervisor ready for your first management role or an experienced manager looking for your next venue, we'd like to hear from you. Casual and full-time positions are available, and we're happy to talk about the hours and days that suit you.
What you'll do
- Run busy services across our restaurant, bar and function spaces
- Lead, train and motivate front-of-house teams during service
- Keep the guest experience consistent
- Handle opening and closing, cash-up, rostering support and compliance
- Work closely with our kitchen and functions teams so everything runs smoothly
What we're looking for
- Previous supervisor or management experience in a busy hotel, restaurant or bar
- A current NSW RSA
- Calm leadership and a hands-on, guest-first attitude
- Availability across nights, weekends and public holidays over summer
- Reliability, good communication and pride in high standards
