The Opportunity

Our client is a highly successful, rapidly expanding global retail business with an extensive international store network.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Allocations Team Leader to join their Melbourne-based Merchandise team, overseeing stock allocations, replenishment and inventory optimisation across key international markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded retail allocations professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a small team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and mentor a small team of Merchandise Allocators, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timely execution.
- Oversee stock allocations and replenishment across a large international store network.
- Ensure the right stock reaches the right stores at the right time to maximise sales opportunities.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels, stock-to-sales ratios and store replenishment requirements.
- Manage stock transfers, minimum/maximum stock levels and allocation adjustments.
- Oversee weekly floorplan changes, promotional activity and sale-related stock requirements.
- Analyse stock performance,



identify opportunities and provide accurate reporting.
- Partner closely with Merchandise, Planning and Retail Operations teams to support commercial objectives.

About You-To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven retail merchandise allocations experience, ideally within a high-volume, multi-store retail environment.
- Previous experience leading a small allocations team, or a strong Senior Allocator ready to take the next step into leadership.
- Strong understanding of retail replenishment, stock distribution and inventory management.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail business with frequent stock movements and changing commercial priorities.
- Robust analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with retail merchandise systems; Futura experience would be advantageous.
