Join a progressive local government organisation delivering practical sustainability initiatives across its property and infrastructure portfolio. This is an prospect to work on tangible renewable energy, utilities and sustainable design projects that will have a direct impact across Council assets.

Your new role

As Sustainability Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate a number of key sustainability projects, with a strong focus on solar performance, energy monitoring and sustainable design.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing the performance and monitoring of approximately 950 kW of solar assets across Council facilities
- Working with IT and technical stakeholders to resolve network connectivity, monitoring and solar performance issues
- Supporting the implementation of a new utility monitoring, tracking and reporting platform
- Establishing reporting processes, governance and accountability around energy and utility performance
- Reviewing and updating Council's Sustainable Design Technical Guide
- Integrating sustainable design requirements throughout the built asset project lifecycle
- Managing multiple sustainability workstreams and keeping projects organised, documented and on track
- Working effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups





What you'll need to succeed

- Strong technical capability across solar, renewable energy, energy management or sustainability
- Demonstrated project or program management experience
- Experience with solar PV systems, performance monitoring, energy data or utility management platforms
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Confidence working with technical teams, including IT and engineering, as well as non-technical stakeholders
- Previous local government or complex asset workplace experience will be highly regarded
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science or a related discipline
