The role

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team on a casual basis, with the prospect to move into a permanent part-time position. The role is predominantly work from home, with flexible hours that fit around your family and commitments.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies

- Handling year-end work across a varied client base, including family groups and related entities

- Managing ASIC company secretarial work, including annual reviews, company changes and lodgements

- Liaising with our bookkeeping team to obtain the information you need for client work





- Communicating with clients to gather information and answer their queries

What you’ll bring

- Proven public practice experience (essential)

- Confidence preparing returns and financials for trusts, Pty Ltd companies and partnerships

- ASIC agent experience

- Strong attention to detail and good time management

- Clear, friendly communication with clients and colleagues

- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently from home

- A reliable home internet connection and a suitable workspace

Software

Experience with the following is preferred:

- Xero (including Xero Practice Manager / Xero Tax)

- FYI Docs

- Microsoft 365
