Test Manager – Defence | Canberra

Long-term Defence Program | ICT Infrastructure | Testing & Assurance

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to join a long-running Defence program in Canberra. This is a backfill opportunity supporting an established program that has been running for approximately six years.

The role will suit someone with strong experience managing testing practices across complex ICT infrastructure environments, including test planning, resource management and non-functional testing.

About the Role

You will oversee the overall testing practice, manage testing resources and establish testing approaches to support the delivery and deployment of complex ICT infrastructure solutions.

Working closely with technical teams across Defence and other government stakeholders, you will help ensure solutions are properly tested, verified and delivered against project requirements and milestones.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall testing practice, including testing strategies, plans and procedures.
- Coordinate and allocate testing resources across project activities.
- Develop and implement test plans for complex ICT infrastructure solutions.
- Manage and track the testing of non-functional requirements.
- Oversee verification, testing and assurance activities.
- Work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders and business representatives.
- Monitor testing progress,



identify risks and report on outcomes.
- Ensure testing activities align with project milestones and delivery requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as a Test Manager within complex ICT environments.
- Strong experience in test strategy, planning and execution.
- Experience testing ICT infrastructure solutions.
- Understanding of non-functional testing, including performance, security, integration and reliability.
- Experience managing testing teams and coordinating technical resources.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working within Defence or Federal Government environments will be highly regarded.
