Trades Assistant Entry Level The Trades Assistant supports tradespeople with basic workshop duties, assembly tasks and cleaning. This role suits someone starting their career who is reliable, willing to learn and able to follow instructions.
Training and supervision will be provided. Key duties Assist tradespeople with daily workshop and production tasks.
Carry out basic assembly, including fitting and fastening components, under supervision. Prepare and organise tools, materials and parts for jobs. Use hand and power tools as trained and directed.
Clean work areas, tools and equipment, remove waste and keep the workshop tidy. Assist with moving, packing and storing materials and finished products. Follow workplace safety procedures, wear required protective equipment and report hazards or faulty equipment.
Check work as instructed and report any defects or concerns. Skills and attributes Willingness to learn and take direction.
