We’re an Australian-owned manufacturer building trailers from the ground up in Pooraka. Our work ranges from box trailers to heavy-duty plant trailers and custom builds.
We use workshop drawings, build books and documented processes so each fabricator knows what’s expected on a build. We welcome ideas from the people doing the work about how to build trailers more efficiently and make the workshop safer.
About the role
You’ll run your own welding bay, taking each trailer from drawings and setup through to final fabrication checks and handover. You’ll measure and fit components, MIG weld the build and check that it’s square, complete and ready for the next stage.
This role suits an experienced fabricator who can work independently, keep a build moving at a steady pace and speak up early if a drawing, part or setup needs attention.
Key responsibilities
- Read fabrication drawings, job cards and build books to plan and set up each build
- Measure, cut, drill, fit and MIG weld steel trailer components
- Check dimensions, alignment and squareness as you build and inspect your welds before handover
- Follow workshop procedures and use the production portal to track build times and log issues
- Raise drawing, material or quality issues early so they can be sorted while the trailer is still in your bay
- Operate welding equipment, grinders and workshop tools safely and keep your bay clean and organised
- Give other fabricators a hand when needed and speak up if you see an unsafe setup or a better way to do a job
What we’re looking for
- A trade qualification or substantial hands-on experience in welding and fabrication
- Strong MIG welding skills and consistent weld quality
- Confidence reading drawings, working from measurements and setting up a build independently
- Positive practical judgement and an eye for detail
- Someone reliable who works well with others and takes responsibility for the work leaving their bay
- Willingness to follow build books and use workshop systems
Trailer manufacturing experience is an advantage. We’re also keen to hear from steel fabricators who’ve built other products from drawings and can bring those skills across.
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to attend an in-person interview and practical weld test at our Pooraka workshop
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Willingness to complete a police clearance if required
A forklift licence is an advantage.
What we offer
- $40–$45 per hour plus super, based on demonstrated fabrication skills and experience
- Permanent full-time employment with 9-hour workdays and paid daily overtime
- Your own welding bay and a mix of standard trailers, heavy-duty plant trailers and custom builds
- Annual pay reviews
- Monthly breakfasts, lunches and team events
- Pay on time, every time
- Immediate start available
