About the Program

CEA’s program, Formula High School® has been successfully delivering VETiS funded & Fee-for-Service Engineering Pathway training packages within Secondary Schools and Colleges since its transition in 2023 from its originator Formula Student©; which had created the prestigious program back in 2015.

School program is the pinnacle of where education meets innovation. The program is designed to not only give students the necessary skills and qualifications for the engineering industry but also develop an even larger passion towards it.

School is based around creating a successful engineering workplace environment to ensure that students are positioned as the most ideal applicant when it comes to seeking a meaningful career after their school years.

The Role

We are excited to announce that we are seeking a Part Time Trainer and Assessor to join our passionate Team. As a part-time Trainer and Assessor with FHS, you will report to the Program Manager and will be responsible for but not limited to:

· Taking lead and delivering the program for routine classes of students from local partnering Schools; including basic training of engineering skills, supervising and directing students to fabricate parts for their class car.

· Support and Supervise the class students utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS)

· Assess Theory and Practical work completed and submitted by enrolled students via the LMS

· Attend Professional Development days and Industry relevant Events/Workshops to maintain ‘Industry Currency’, reported on Quarterly





· Maintaining records of visits and School support activities via call sheets and Outlook Calendar

· Maintain daily communication via email and/or phone to other members of staff including the Program Manager

· Support program delivery at various locations in the absence of staff where and when required

· Attend and support Annual Events hosted by Formula High School i.e track days

· Other duties as directed by the Program Manager The job will be Part Time, 2 days a week, working at our Coorparoo workshop location as required for classes, with standard hours to be worked between 7.00am and 3.30pm Thursday & Friday. Work outside these hours may be required as directed by the Program Manager.

Successful applicants must have:

· A current Working with Children Blue Card

· Relevant previous Training and Assessment experience

· Advanced Microsoft Office and computer skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

· Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, either TAE40116 with additional TAELLN411 skillset or TAE40122. or engineering qualification with trade experience.

Desirable qualifications

· An engineering qualification with trade experience would be advantageous.





· A Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, either MEM20413 or MEM20422 is desirable but not essential.
