P&M; Automotive Equipment is a well-established, family-owned Western Australian business with over 40 years of industry experience. We specialise in the supply, installation, servicing, repairs and compliance inspections of vehicle hoists and workshop equipment throughout Western Australia.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our services, we are seeking a motivated and mechanically minded Vehicle Hoist Technician to join our team, commencing January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician or a qualified tradesperson looking to develop specialist skills in a niche industry.

About the Role

Working with a supportive and experienced team, you will be responsible for:

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicle hoists and workshop equipment.
- Installing and commissioning 2-post, 4-post, scissor and other vehicle lifting equipment.
- Conducting safety inspections and compliance assessments in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Completing service reports, inspection documentation and job records.
- Working across metropolitan Perth, with opportunities for regional and mine site work.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and customer service.

About You We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and can work both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A mechanical trade qualification or relevant hands-on technical experience.
- Experience in automotive, heavy diesel, mechanical fitting, hydraulics or workshop equipment.




- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding abilities.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
- The ability to manage their workload and complete accurate service documentation.
- A willingness to travel throughout WA when required.

Previous vehicle hoist experience is highly regarded but not essential. Training and support will be provided to the right candidate with the right attitude.
