As a Volunteer Receptionist at Northern Volunteering, you’ll play an important role in supporting our team and helping people connect with volunteering opportunities.
This role is based in our Salisbury office on a Tuesday, which is generally a quiet working environment. There will be times when you’ll be working independently in the office, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative and managing tasks on their own. Don’t worry if you haven’t done everything before – training and support will be provided.
You’ll use your excellent communication and people skills to answer incoming calls, direct enquiries, take bookings for referrals and make outbound calls to potential volunteers and clients regarding training sessions.
You’ll also put your administration skills to use, working with Microsoft Office and Google Docs to complete data entry, update records, prepare documents and certificates, and assist with general office duties.
There is also the chance to join our Expo team from time to time, helping showcase Northern Volunteering and the work we do to the wider community. This is a shared role, with you teaming up with other NVSA volunteers and staff. Training will be provided.
