Position: Wall and Floor Tiler

Salary: AUD $79,423 per annum plus 12% superannuation

About the Company

KAPITI TILING & WATERPROOFING PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking residential and commercial tiling projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of workmanship, quality and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Examine plans, measure and mark surfaces, and determine the materials required for tiling projects.
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, adhesives and other materials.
- Ensure surfaces are level, clean and suitable for tile installation.
- Apply adhesives, mortar and other bonding materials to prepared surfaces.
- Cut and shape tiles using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Lay ceramic, porcelain, stone and other types of tiles on walls and floors.
- Ensure tiles are correctly aligned, spaced and level.
- Apply grout, sealants and finishing materials to tiled surfaces.
- Install waterproofing systems and membranes where required, in accordance with applicable standards and licensing requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Liaise with supervisors,



builders and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant should possess:
- A relevant trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant practical experience in wall and floor tiling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with different types of tiles, adhesives and installation techniques.
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings and technical specifications.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
- A valid White Card or willingness to obtain one.

Salary and Employment Conditions This is a permanent, full-time position offering:
- Annual salary: AUD $79,423.
- Superannuation: 12% in addition to the base salary.
- Working hours: 38 hours per week.
- Ongoing employment with opportunities to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects.
