This role suits a Project Manager who wants real accountability and a strong pipeline of commercial work. Our client is an established Sydney builder with a strong reputation and plenty of repeat clients. They’re growing steadily, and their projects cover commercial recent build, refurbishment and fitout.

You’ll lead your projects from award to final defects. Clients, consultants and authorities will deal with you directly, and site managers and trades will look to you for direction.

This builder trusts experienced people to do their job. You’ll run your projects your way, with leadership support on hand but no one watching every step. A capable team will back you up, with dedicated site, estimating, safety and operations support.

The Role:

- Take full ownership of commercial construction projects from award through to handover
- Set the program, lock in procurement and keep the budget tight from day one
- Manage the contract side with confidence, including variations, EOTs, progress claims and notices
- Be the trusted face of the project for clients, superintendents, consultants and authorities
- Back your site managers and keep subcontractors performing
- Give the business a clear monthly view of cost, program and risk
- Keep safety,



quality and environmental standards front and centre on every site
- Close projects out properly, with clean handover documentation and certification
- Share your buildability knowledge at tender stage so jobs are set up to succeed

About You:

- Experienced Project Manager with a commercial builder (head contractor side)
- Proven track record delivering commercial construction, refurbishment or fitout projects
- Commercially minded, with sound cost control and forecasting
- A clear communicator who builds strong relationships with clients, consultants and trades
- Self-driven and comfortable taking ownership of decisions
- Working knowledge of AS4000, AS2124 or similar contracts is highly regarded
- A tertiary qualification in construction management or similar is well regarded
- Full driver’s licence
