Do meaningful work that changes lives, one conversation at a time..
Every day, people in our community face difficult financial decisions. They may be struggling with rising living costs, unexpected expenses, utility debt, housing pressures or simply trying to make ends meet. Our client exists to help people navigate these challenges with dignity, practical support and hope and is committed to building a robust community where people are empowered to thrive. Through a broad range of community programs and initiatives, the organisation works alongside some of the most disadvantaged members of the community, creating opportunities for greater inclusion, participation and wellbeing.

Use your expertise to help people build financial resilience, capability and independence.
Working within a Financial Resilience Program, you will provide practical, person-centred support to individuals and families experiencing financial challenges. Through assessment, education, advocacy, referrals and coaching, you will help people strengthen their financial capability and improve their long-term wellbeing. NILS(No Interest Loans) applications is a key component of the Financial Resilience Program and forms an important part of this role.

This is a diverse role that combines direct client support with community engagement,

workshop facilitation and collaboration with service providers. You'll assist clients to access financial supports and relief programs, develop budgets and financial plans, connect with specialist services and build the confidence and skills needed to make informed financial decisions.

Your ability to connect with people from all walks of life will be highly valued.
You bring empathy, sound judgement and the ability to build trust quickly. You understand the barriers faced by people experiencing disadvantage and can balance practical problem-solving with a strengths-based approach that empowers people to take control of their financial future.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with experience working either individually or in group settings to improve financial capability, financial literacy or broader community outcomes. Knowledge of services such as Centrelink, hardship supports, grants, relief programs and the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) will be highly regarded. If you are passionate about social justice and coaching people to achieve greater financial wellbeing, we would love to hear from you.
