Brighton, East Sussex Rate: £400-£450 per day (CIS or Ltd) We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join our team on a major construction project in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for key packages across a varied and challenging development, including RC Frame, Groundworks and Local Roads/Infrastructure. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of these packages, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Take commercial responsibility for RC Frame, Groundworks and Local Roads packages.
- Manage subcontract procurement, tendering and package appointments.
- Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and variations.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
- Assess subcontractor applications and payments.
- Manage change control, variations and commercial negotiations.




- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure contractual compliance and accurate commercial reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and the project team. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong experience with RC Frame and Groundworks packages.
- Experience with infrastructure, highways or local roads packages advantageous.
- Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management experience.
- Positive understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple packages. The Opportunity
